Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s. In the year 1990 it was reported that she could be Hugh Grant's lover. I Kissed a Girl, the combination of excitement with a sophisticated tune, allowed I Kissed a Girl to achieve the number one spot in a variety of countries, and to drive the sales of her album, One of the Boys. The album's song, the second Hot N Cold also proving well-loved, the album that Perry composed herself, eventually saw the sales of over 3 million copies across the United States.
